purpose of this technology-literacy narrative is to have you reflect on the ways that you interact with technology and with digital writing spaces (social media, texting, email, blogging, digital creative spaces (like music and/or visual art production software) or gaming situations, etc.) and how those spaces affect your composition process and the language and rhetorical strategies that you use. How Do I Do This?
1)Take some time to think about ALL of the ways that you use technology on a daily basis, and what you actually define as “technology.” Furthermore, think about how those media and the spaces they create affect your communication and thought processes.
2)WRITE an approximately 3 page double-spaced narrative that answers or addresses the following questions:
■ What technologies do you use or interact with on a daily
basis?
■ How do those technologies affect your thought process? ■ How do those technologies and digital composition/communication spaces affect your use of language or rhetoric? What changes compared to face to face communication?
■ How do digital spaces change your perception of or attitude toward writing or composing?
3)Use MLA essay formatting, but citations are not necessary unless you specifically quote or paraphrase from a source that is not considered general knowledge.
1)Consider keeping a conversational tone: this is a narrative, so you can tell a story directly to your reader(s).
2)First person POV is okay in this situation!
