A project is a response to a brief devised by the assessor. A project is usually carried out over
an extended period of time. Projects may involve research, require investigation of a topic,
issue or problem or may involve a process such as a design task, a performance or practical
activity or production of an artefact or event
Guidelines:
You are required to carry out a critical evaluation of the Recruitment and Selection process
in an organisation you are familiar with
• It will be a written project consisting of 3,000 words (approx.) in a formal report
format
• Each student is expected to draw up a short presentation on their findings in the
form of a PowerPoint slide show.
The research should contain:
• Identifying the Labour Market trends that affect work placement
• The value of Job Analysis in the work placement
• Evaluation of the selection method employed by the work placement
• Evidence that records were maintained throughout the process
• Analysis of the impact of relevant legislation when conducting the work placement
• Strengths and weaknesses of the process
• Analysis of how the process effects HRs overall contribution to the workplace
• Critical evaluation of the Recruitment and Selection process in the work place.

The layout of the Project should include the following:
• Introduction
• Main findings
• Conclusions
• Recommendations
• Word count of 3,000
• Pages and Slides should be numbered
Marking Criteria – Recruitment & Selection Project
• Content = 10 marks
• Analysis = 5 marks.
• Evaluation = 5 marks
• Presentation = 10 marks.
