Week 1 Tasks
This week, you will identify an improvement issue for study in your final project throughout this course.
Cover the following:
• Identify a quality, safety, or performance improvement issue within a hospital to examine in your final project.
• Explain the selected issue by applying the six standards of quality healthcare measurement and achievement as set by the Institute of Medicine (IOM). Describe how each of the six standards applies to the selected issue.
Be sure to support your statements with scholarly references and appropriate examples. Cite all sources using the APA format.
