Throughout the textbook there are references of how various movies or literature use fiction to examine the political problems in a society or its government. I want to embrace the notion that our textbook takes using fiction and make it your signature assignment. Choose one of the three movies listed below and write a reaction paper as assigned to each movie.

The Hunger Games
Discuss the atomization of a society and how a government may use that atomization to control a population. What are some possible ramifications of that atomization? Use the movie “The Hunger Games” to explore atomization of a society. Further, explore how this atomization links to legitimacy and the use of force by the government shown in the movie.

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington
Consider idealism and realism in terms of what we want from our political institutions and what we actually get. Also focus on the importance of rules and how they help institutions to function. Lastly, how can human nature negatively impact the work of a governing institution?

To Kill a Mockingbird
Structural violence occurs whenever a social structure, such as a norm, rule, process, or law harms a category of individuals. However, because of the diversity in the abilities and traits of human beings, any and all structures will cause structural violence by advantaging some and disadvantaging others. Consider the legal institutions in To Kill a Mockingbird to discuss the balance between the society’s need for social and political institutions and the costs they place upon individuals.

This paper is a critical analysis/reaction of your chosen movie this is not an opinion paper for you to argue for or against a particular point of view about the quality of the movie.

1. How is the Globalization From Below Movement relevant for the society? And how does it relate to subsistence, commodification and general protectionism?

Transforming the Organization

Congratulations! The executives are taking your information system proposal seriously. In fact, they think it has the potential to transform the way the organization works.The CIO asked you to read
Connelly (2016) to think about what resources you’ll need to get your new information system up and running. Please also review the five case studies in
(Basu 2015, p. 32-35) so you can recommend a change management pattern for your company to follow.

Write a memo to the CIO that describes how to implement your information system into the organization.
Please focus on these topics:
1.How much of the implementation work can you handle? What additional resources (people,

Metropolitan Edison Company owned and operated two nuclear-fueled power plants at Three Mile Island near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Both power plants were licensed by the NRC after extensive proceedings and investigations, including the preparation of the required environmental impact statements. When one of the power plants was shut down for refueling, the other plant suffered a serious accident that damaged the reactor. The governor of Pennsylvania recommended an evacuation of all pregnant women and small children, and many area residents did not leave their homes for several days. As it turned out, no dangerous radiation was released.

People Against Nuclear Energy (PANE), an association of area residents who opposed further operation of the nuclear power plants at Three Mile Island, sued to enjoin the plants from reopening. They argued that the reopening of the plants would cause severe psychological health damage to persons living in the vicinity and serious damage to the stability and cohesiveness of the community. Are these reasons sufficient to prevent the reopening of the nuclear power plants? Is it socially responsible for the federal government to permit the operation of nuclear power plants? Assignments should reflect the course material found in the course manual and textbooks. Students are welcomed to bring in their own research but must cite that material using APA. Students should note that assignment three is made up of two separate essays. And each essay should be around 1200 words.

1) In his book In Search of Respect Phillippe Bourgois examines the life of Puerto Rican immigrants living in East Harlem. Outline the history that brought these people to “El Barrio”, and discuss why their lack of cultural capital and structural racism makes it difficult to melt into the wider social milieu of American society.

3) Discuss the social structure, social relationships, and social activities of boarders living in illegally operated boarding houses in St. John’s. Are boarders part of a homogeneous or heterogeneous community/society?

Task Description
We all face that industry has changed dramatically in the past two decades since the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) revolution, which has ushered in the era of Industry 4.0. Under Industry 4.0, mobile computers and machines are connected through the Internet, and smart enabling technologies (i.e., Cyber-Physical System (CPS), Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, etc.) are created through automatic identification physical sensors equipped with tiny computers. Data stored and located in physically separated places are processed and analyzed quickly by numerous computers and applied to manufacture and services, for example, computer-embedded machines and equipment enable the production of the right products/ services to be delivered to the right customers at the right time. On the other hands, from the business perspective, Industry 4.0 drives management research towards creating new concepts and methodologies to realize synergy effects across industries that work together on the same business platform and system. To stay competitive, all firms need to consider and adopt new approaches to innovation, manufacturing, procurement, and logistics.

For this assignment, you will create a PowerPoint that demonstrates the concepts covered in this unit. Find and select images that apply/explain/identify various physical concepts that we have learned in this unit.

The paper will ask students to apply one of the major ethical theories to a specific problem. For the paper students will be required to select a contemporary article applying virtue ethics, deontology, or utilitarianism to an ethical problem. Students will be required to discuss how the theory explains the problem, and critically assess how well the theory deals with the problem.

The paper should be not exceed five pages in length (double-spaced, with 1 inch margins, Times New Roman size 12 font).

I’d like to suggest to make the paper about critiquing egoism by using the case of police officers. You will need to discuss, at least briefly, how the different ethical theories provide us with more guidance and insight into how officers should act.
