Use the attached file, additional links given and whatever resources at your disposal to write a background and meaning of the 7th and 8th chapters of the book of Isaiah found in the Hebrew and Christian scriptures.

The background portion should be no more than 1,000 words discussing Isaiah, the author of the book, the dating of the writing, whom the writing was addressed to, the purpose of the writing and the socio-cultural background to the book.

The other portion should describe the meaning within the context of those two chapters, specifically how they would have applied to the first reader. In other words the first audience impression and not how Christians would later come to interpret the passages as fulfilled by Jesus.
