The “mission” is to thoroughly describe the court system in the jurisdiction where they live (or work). The papers should, at a minimum, address the organization, jurisdiction, duties, responsibilities, management, and administration of the court system where the student lives (or works). Students should compare and contrast their own court systems to the material/topics addressed in the text book. Both federal and state courts must be discussed as well as any other “specialty” courts which may exist (e.g. Family Court, Juvenile Court, Drug Court, etc).
