This research essay will examine how gender inequalities have impacted rising economic growth in Indonesia, 1997 Asian financial crisis. Through considering how gender mainstreaming has been implemented by the Indonesian government since the 1997 Asian financial crisis, the effectiveness of government implemented gender mainstreaming on economic growth will be considered.
